In my painterly practise I am interested in the love story between desire and image and how it takes place in the body. I want my paintings to evoke a physical sensation of pleasure and a tactile painterly joy. Yet the paintings simultaneously express an ambivalent feeling towards the lack of control being a desire driven creature entails in a contemporary image culture that constantly strives to trigger our lust. I often arrange my paintings in a type of marriage, where one picture is put on top of another. The images distort or enhance each other in the voluptuous and playful word of motives that can be seen in my practise.

I completed my BA of fine art in 2019 at the Royal Institute of Art (Mejan) and Chelsea College of Fine Art. I have also studied at Valand Academy of Art and Domen Konstskola in Gothenburg. I have exhibited at Galleri 54, Marabouparken and Galleri Mejan and received grants from the Otto and Charlotte Mannheimers fund, Fredrika Bremer association and Hvitfeldska.
