Eat my paintings. The image is a part of the body and looking is a metabolic process. Feel the raw libidinal energy pulsating through Istock Photos and swallow the bulimic flow of images. Is it sexy? Or disgusting? Do you buy it? Can you feel it in your gut?

In my painterly practise I am interested in the love story between desire and image and how it takes place in the body. I want my paintings to evoke a physical sensation of pleasure and a tactile painterly joy. Yet the paintings simultaneously express an ambivalent feeling towards

the lack of control being a desire driven creature entails in a contemporary image culture that constantly strives to trigger our lust. I often arrange my paintings in a type of marriage, where one picture is put on top of another. The images distort or enhance each other in the voluptuous and playful word of motives that can be seen in my practise.
