SPECIFICATIONS: Working with living materials is a form of caretaking, it takes many hours of experimentation and failures and demands very unique conditions, such as sterility, moisture, and temperature. Each piece has many different steps, prolonging up to 2 months of execution. The first step is the growth: the pieces have to be watered every third day and rotated within the mold. The second is dehydration. Finally, the third and last is hand-painting and appliance of protective treatment. The objects are all unique in form, and the fungal materiality will produce different stains and curvatures.
