Margharita Pozzali Italian
Margharita Pozzali searches for analogies within humans and objects and attempts to translate behaviors into object’s features; every piece is unique and has its own ‘‘personality’’.
Italian artist based in Stockholm. In her practice Margherita Pozzali takes inspiration from daily life and the objects that surrounds us.
She searches for analogies within humans and objects and attempts to translate behaviors into object’s features; every piece is unique and has its own ‘‘personality’’.
Recurrent themes are imperfection, awkwardness and anomalies trying to show them from a different perspective and with a kind smile. A profound love for materials and nature is often made visible in the pieces aesthetic. Lately she is focusing on ceramic as a medium and vases as an object of reflection.
Vases, jars, bowls, bottles... containers, their function is to hold, protect and preserve.
But what is the content, the contained? Margherita's vases are already filled with a content: memories of journeys, feelings, reflections. They are modest monuments to lived moments. These emotional vessels are not only there to preserve their hidden content, they are not full, they are there humbly ready to take in and be filled with other's stories and reflections.
