An exceptional and heartwarming performance that left an indelible mark on the audience, Anthony Mills soulful rendition of the spiritual classic, "I'm Building Me a Home," resonated beautifully and set the ideal atmosphere for the opening reception of our SPRINGBRUNN group exhibition, a celebration of our gallery artists.
Anthony Mills, as a featured performer at La Biennale di Venezia 2015, All the Worlds Futures, curated by Okwui Enwezor, had a two-month residency for Jason Moran’s work songs / installation. Mills performed for two months, from the end of June to the end of July, and then again in October until closing in November.

SPRINGBRUNN. As spring arrives, a palpable sense of hope fills the air, mirroring the transformative thaw of ice that births life-giving water. The way this water shapes itself and flows forward can either unfold in a spontaneous and chaotic manner or be carefully steered by human influence. This phenomenon draws profound parallels with the artistic process, which should never stagnate but continually infuse vitality and renewal, even when the surroundings regress into familiar and reactionary patterns of behavior.
The gallery launches the spring season with an explosive cascade of expressions, where emerging talents and established artists converge, creating a dynamic fusion of styles and ideas—each as surprising and captivating as the water bubbling from a fountain.
2023 proved to be exceptionally dynamic for us, marked by the curation of 10 extraordinary exhibitions. Our deepest thanks go out to all artists, visitors, collectors, institutions, art critics, and friends who have significantly enriched our journey throughout this most challenging year.
