ARTIST TALK / Konstnärssamtal
Thursday, November 14, 6.30 pm
torsdag, 14 november, kl 18:00
We are pleased to welcome Karsten Thurfjell to the gallery for a conversation with Tina Eskilsson about her ongoing exhibition Dripping Point. There will be time for a Q&A session as well as an opportunity to view Tina’s exhibition and meet the artist and Karsten Thurfjell both before and after the conversation. Please note that the conversation will be held in Swedish.
Karsten Thurfjell has been a prominent voice in Swedish Radio’s cultural coverage for many years as an editor and producer, often alongside his colleague Gunnar Bolin. Their pre- Christmas Eve program each year has become something of a classic in Swedish public service, with uniquely chosen reports on European cultural destinations. Karsten Thurfjell has followed Tina Eskilsson’s artistic journey since the beginning and has contributed catalog texts for her solo exhibitions at Gotland Art Museum and the Jönköping County Museum. He has written books on wine, food, and art, and holds Seat 4 in the Gastronomic Academy.
Dripping Point marks Tina Eskilsson's first solo exhibition with the gallery. For over 30 years, she has delved into the theme of water, exploring its essence through various techniques. For Eskilsson, water is more than a medium; it is a source of inspiration that continually shapes her creative journey.
